The inaugural Fourth Form Production of Julian Mitchell’s Another Country is set in an English public boarding school in the 1930s and explores the Establishment and its traditional ways of dealing with rebels. Tommy Judd, a committed Marxist, wants to abolish the whole system of British life; Guy Bennett, coming to terms with his sexuality, wants a successful career within it.
This entirely student-led production promises to be a superb, funny and moving evening as the politics and tribal snobberies of pre-war school days are explored in Mitchell’s subtle and absorbing drama.
