NOTICE FOR ALL VISITORS: CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
The School site will be closed to the majority of pupils from close of the day 20 March 2020. If you are visiting us in an official capacity, or by invitation, we kindly request that you read the below information regarding the Coronavirus and take careful note of procedures we have in place.
Please follow the advice from Public Health England (PHE) as outlined here to ascertain if it is advisable for you to visit us at this time.
If the PHE advice indicates that your visit will not present a risk, on arrival and whilst on site, please:
- uphold the highest standards of hygiene and wash your hands thoroughly before coming on to school site or at the very first opportunity you have after arriving.
- follow the ‘Catch it, bin it, kill it’ recommendations from the NHS.
- note that as an extra precaution, we have advised staff not to shake hands with visitors.
Whitgift is in Nottingham Road, just off the A235 Brighton Road in South Croydon
Directions from M25
Leave at Junction 7 (M23) northbound. At end of motorway
continue along A23 for 4½ miles. At Purley join the A235
and proceed towards South Croydon for 1½ miles. Turn left
into Nottingham Road at the traffic lights on Brighton Road.
The main entrance to Whitgift is on the left just before
Alternatively leave M25 at Junction 6 for A22 northbound.
Continue for 6 miles. Join A235 at Purley as previously stated.
East Croydon Station (then bus/taxi)
South Croydon Station (short walking distance)

in South Croydon, alighting at the Swan and Sugar Loaf
East Croydon station (then bus/taxi)
