The Whitgift fees for 2019-2020 are;

£20,640 for a Day place, £33,081 for a Weekly Boarding place and £40,140 for a Full Boarding place.

All fees are payable termly in advance, or monthly by direct debit.

The fees include the cost of most stationery and text books, games and school societies, but exclude a small number of items, such as public examination and UCAS entry fees. Individual music tuition is provided at an extra charge. In addition, an entrance fee of £130 is payable on the first term’s account for those who have been accepted for admission.

School lunches are compulsory for boys in Year 6 (10+) and Year 7 (11+), and are invoiced termly at a fixed price of £4.54 per day.

A deposit of £800 (day students) or £2,500 (UK boarding students) or one term's fees (overseas boarding students) is payable on acceptance of a place at Whitgift. This will be retained in full until the pupil leaves, on completion of his full School Course, when it will be refunded less any balance owing to the School.  Once a place has been accepted, if a boy is withdrawn at any point before joining Whitgift, a full term's fees will be due, in addition to the loss of the deposit.

For students already in the School, two full term’s notice if in Year 6 (10+) and one full term’s notice thereafter, of parental intention to remove their son from the School must be given, in writing, to the Headmaster; otherwise the parent is liable for the full fees of the succeeding term.

The Entrance Examination fee is £100 for UK students and £130 for overseas students, and must be paid when completing the online application. If a late application is accepted, an extra £20 will be charged.

The Governors reserve the right to review or alter fees at any time and with a notice period of half a term.

Remission of Fees

Parents who would like their son to come to Whitgift should not be deterred by financial reasons from applying, as it is the policy of the Whitgift Foundation to make the education offered as widely available as possible by way of Scholarships, Bursaries and Boarding Awards.
