The average score was up to over 38 and over a third got 40 points or more (candidates can score up to 7 points for each of their six subjects and up to 3 points for the core).
As a rough guide a ‘7’ at IB is considered to be equivalent to ‘A*’ at A Level, a ‘6’ equivalent to ‘A’, a ‘5’ equivalent to ‘B’.
